Having a strong belief that ideas need ambassadors; like a book preserves knowledge, people also can pass it on; the more people one encounters, the more ideas are shared. Bahia approaches public speaking on topics like art, women, the Arab world and social change from the perspective of inspiring the next generation of leaders, educating the community about social responsibility, building bridges between different cultures and creating social change.

Bahia Shehab: A thousand times no

Art historian Bahia Shehab has long been fascinated with the Arabic script for 'No.' When revolution swept through Egypt in 2011, she began spraying the image in the streets saying no to dictators, no to military rule and no to violence.

Typographics 2018: At the Corner of a Dream with Bahia Shehab

In 2015, Bahia started painting on the streets of cities around the world because the streets of Cairo were no longer accessible to her. She painted poetry by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish using new forms of Arabic letters.
